What I'm up to these days:
My 20-minute piece for Washington National Opera, written with librettist Megan Cohen, had a successful premiere at the Kennedy Center in January 2018, and was staged again in November by Hartford Opera Theater. (You can find more info about the work here.)
Someone Like Me (L'opera di Facebook) has about 6,000 views on YouTube so far. I wrote the score, and the screenplay is by Adam Taylor, writer/director of The Tinder Opera. (You can find all production details on IMDb.) We've recorded and shot another opera-film, an Amish-themed romantic comedy--stay tuned...
This past summer I made my debut with the Grammy-nominated Clarion Choir, joining a chorus of monks in a performance with pop superstar Madonna at the 2018 Met Gala! Read about it in: Billboard, Vogue, Time, Vanity Fair (1, 2, 3), New York Times, E! Online. Watch the official video on YouTube, or this multi-angle compilation sourced from attendees' Instagram clips, e.g. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8).
This past April, the Women in Comedy Festival in Boston hosted the premiere screening of The Shape of Destiny, for which I wrote and supervised the music.
Having earned my MM degree from Mannes/The New School last year, I'm currently singing in the Choir of Men and Boys at Saint Thomas Church, serving as Editorial Assistant at Boosey & Hawkes and as a Company Assistant at the Center for Contemporary Opera.
